Our African print fat quarters measure approximately 18 x 22 inches (46 x 56cm). Wherever possible, we will send you a slightly larger fat quarter size depending on the dimensions of the fabric piece leftover from our made to measure clothing production.
Kitenge is proud to be a social enterprise and ethical and sustainable fashion brand. We aim for zero waste during our African wax print clothing production. Fabric offcuts are recycled by making smaller items such as men’s bow ties and pocket squares. Any fabric offcuts that cannot be used are donated to female artisans in Tanzania or to schools for art projects.
It’s really important to us that we source the highest quality fabrics printed in Africa which helps to support cotton farmers, the African textile industry and female entrepreneurs who sell the fabrics at local markets. All fabric orders are shipped promptly from Tanzania within 1-2 working days either via the Post Office or by courier (DHL). We often ship fabrics to customers located in North America and Europe. Please get in touch if you have any questions. We’re always happy to help!
