At Kitenge HQ, we’ve been busy developing a brand-new collection of plain coloured shirts for men (women’s shirts are coming soon).

We’re really excited to share with you the end result. As with all our online made to measure shirts, their designs can be fully customised for a completely unique look!

These stylish shirts can be ordered either in plain coloured fabric only or with optional African print fabric contrasts that can be added to the collar, cuffs or sleeve ends, sleeve placket, front placket and pocket(s).

This is a great way to add a splash of colour to a plain coloured shirt and try something different without going too bold. Adding African print fabric contrasts to a plain coloured shirt brightens up your style and helps you stand out from the crowd in a more subtle way.

How to order Kitenge’s Plain Coloured Made to Measure Shirts

Ordering Kitenge’s plain coloured shirts is easy and fun, as you can play a part in the creative design process if you wish to.

Follow our simple step by step instructions:

1. We highly recommend creating an account so your measurements can be saved for future use and reference. If you’ve ordered a custom-made shirt before then please log in to your account. Alternatively, you can continue as a guest.
2. Select your favourite plain coloured shirt fabric and preferred sleeve length.
3. On the product page, choose a collar, cuff, placket, pocket(s) and bottom cut style.
4. Decide if you would like to have no contrasts (a plain coloured shirt) or choose as many different contrasts as you like!
5. If you chose to have contrasts, select your African print fabric to go with the plain coloured shirt material.
6. Enter the measurements of a shirt that fits you well at home by following our simple ‘how to measure’ guides.
7. Add the shirt to your basket and choose your preferred shipping method. (We’ll make and ship your order by DHL within 1-2 weeks if you select ‘standard’ shipping or within 5 working days if you upgrade to ‘priority’ shipping).

All our stylish shirts are lovingly handcrafted by our talented tailors in Tanzania, East Africa. After receiving your order, we’ll check your measurements with our master tailor and will let you know if he has any recommendations or questions before he proceeds to cut the fabric.

Your First Made to Measure Shirts Purchase is Covered by our ‘Perfect Fit Guarantee’

In the unlikely event that you’re not happy with the fit of your first made to measure shirt then you’ll be covered by our Perfect Fit Guarantee.

This means that we’ll either pay for a local tailor or seamstress to alter or re-make the shirt and ship it to you free of charge. You can keep the original shirt, give it to a friend as a gift, donate it to a charity shop or let a sewer/quilter repurpose the material.

To avoid this from happening, we recommend that you carefully follow our ‘how to measure’ guides before entering your measurements and contact us if you have any questions.

It’s really important to us that you’re happy with the fit of your Kitenge shirt so you enjoy wearing it for many years to come.
