We were asked a lot last year if we made children’s clothing so we listened to your feedback and are proud to announce the launch our brand new kids collection in our African boutique online. It has been selling like hot cakes at UK music festivals this summer and due to high demand the collection is now available online.
Featuring our popular adult styles including our unisex trousers, short sleeve shirt and flare skirt but much, much smaller! The collection also includes a simple, dress style with shoulder straps that tie into cute bows.
All the new African print children’s styles are designed to be practical, easy and fun to wear due to their colourful, bold and vibrant prints. The high quality, 100% cotton fabrics, produced and locally sourced in Africa, are very comfortable to wear and are great for both hot and cool climates including parties, holidays as well as every day use.
Take a look at our recent photoshoot in Tanzania, taken by a local photographer in our community playground, where you can see all the new styles and their prints in action. Big thanks to our fantastic models Rahil, Paola and Charity, our friends’ and neighbours’ children, who did an amazing job and were so professional (even more so than our adult models)! You made all of us and your families very proud.
All our kids clothes were lovingly handmade by our very talented tailors Hassan and Abdallah in his new workshop in Tanzania which he opened a year ago using the profits made from our orders. They also used their brand new sewing machines to make the collection in which Abdallah was also able to invest.
As always we love to hear your feedback so if there is a particular style you would like us to make in the future then please contact us. We would like to make more kids and adult styles in matching prints like our happy customers (father and son) from Glastonbury Festival 2017 so watch this space!
